Employment Opportunities

Originator:

Description: Loan Originators are responsible for representing Landover Mortgage in their local territory by developing and maintaining relationships primarily with Real Estate Agents. Loan Originators are responsible for generating loan volume and closed loans through sales and marketing activities. They will maximize and enhance volume opportunities by promoting our competitive mortgage products, services and programs. Loan Originators are responsible for spending at least 25% of their time outside their office(s) conducting lead generating and client service activities. These activities include, but are not limited to attending closings, open houses, local business association meetings/trainings and/or other outside business generating activities. These activities are necessary in order to produce, increase and sustain an acceptable level of production to be successful in the Loan Originator role. As always, business development activities must at all times be RESPA compliant and consistent with Company policy.
   
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Three (3) years experience originating mortgage loans is required. Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLC, FHA and VA guidelines. Proven sales/relationship building and customer service experience within a reasonable commuting distance from the territory. Must have a Mortgage Loan Originator License and a valid driver's license.

 

Senior Underwriter:

Description: The Senior Underwriter position is responsible for reviewing conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and State Bond loan submissions to ensure that they meet investor guidelines and evaluate the loan in such a way as to minimize company risk exposure. This position requires the ability to work cohesively with the processing and sales teams with consistent interaction and interruptions while still meeting daily volume requirements.
   
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years experience underwriting mortgage loans is required. Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLC, FHA and VA guidelines. Must have DE and LAPP certifications.  Must have strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and must demonstrate strong attention to detail, strong analytical skills and sound decision making ability. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with other departments and third parties in a professional manner. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume work environment with proven follow up and organizational skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required and experience with Mortgage Processing/Underwriting Software systems is preferred.

 

Senior Loan Processor:

Description: The Senior Loan Processor will effectively manage the successful file flow from point of origination through closing.  The ideal candidate will address and resolve customer service issues throughout the loan process.  The position functions as liaison between departments, Loan Officers and external customers.  The Senior Loan Processor position will have extensive experience, preferably in a high volume capacity.  This position reports directly to the President/CEO.
   
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years experience processing mortgage loans or equivalent level of experience required. Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLC, FHA and VA guidelines. Must have strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and must demonstrate strong attention to detail, strong analytical skills and sound decision making ability. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with other departments and third parties in a professional manner. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume work environment with proven follow up and organizational skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required and experience with Encompass is preferred.
